Program History

The wrestling program at Meadow Creek has come a long way through the years. Don Ryther started the wrestling program at Alliance Academy back in 1982. Recently, Alliance's name has changed to Rivers Christian Academy. Jim Kuhlmey got the program at Meadow Creek going again in 1987 after Philip Best had coached for 3 years.

Jim Kuhlmey and Darrell Skog co-coached the Meadow Creek team in 1988 and Darrell took over as head coach the next year.

Don and Darrell decided to join the two teams in 1991 and become a cooperative wrestling program. The team joined the Minnesota State High School League in 1991 and in 1992, the MC-AA had its first individual state entrant, Nathan Davis. Since then, Meadow Creek-Alliance has had 40 state entrants, 12 all-state medal winners, and in 1999 and 2003, a state team entrant. The team continues to work hard reaching for goals, and most importantly building character through the great sport of wrestling.

In 2007, Meadow Creek has joined into a cooperative with Rivers Christian Academy, P.A.C.T, and Spectrum High School.

In 2008, the cooperative included Meadow Creek, P.A.C.T, and Spectrum High School. Sean Ryther joined with Darrell Skog as co-coaches for the team.
